Regency


Often associated with Napoleon or Jane Austen novels, the Regency style of dress is both comfortable and light. The bodice is usually gathered in the front and the back, with a deep, squared-off neckline. The full skirt is attached just under the bustline, frequently covered with a band of trim. The sleeves are usually short and puffy, but can be long and tiered. These light-weight gowns were often worn with either a Spencer jacket (daytime) or a shawl (evening wear). A small train can also be incorporated into this style. *Price range $300.00 and up.*

		The green gown is made of iridescent taffeta, and trimmed with gold braid and gold rosettes. The bodice is lined and the gown laces up the back. *$350.00 as shown.*



		The gold gown is made of peau de soie (silk satin) with an embroidered gold chiffon lace overlay and trimmed with vintage embroidered and beaded metallic trim in silver and gold. The gown laces up the back and is fully-lined. 750.00 as shown.

The lavender gown at left is made of "silk essence" (polyester), and trimmed with lavender metallic braid. The long sleeves have pleated cuffs and caps, and the dress is back-laced. $300.00 as shown.

		The yellow gown at right is made of satin charmeuse, and trimmed with pleated, gold-edged ribbon and white satin rosettes. *$325.00 as shown.*
