The Tudor period featured low-cut, square necked gowns, elaborate blackwork embroidery and intricate beadwork, and a variety of sleeve styles. A noblewoman always wore a hoopskirt and a corset.

The gown below is made from silk satin with an embroidered, beaded chiffon overlay. The separate chemise has long, gathered organza sleeves, and the underskirt is organza over silk satin. The skirt opening and hem are edged with gold and pearl roses, and the center of the bodice is trimmed to match. $1,500.00 as shown. Click on each picture for a larger image.
